Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director. She's an American actress and singer. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen realized her potential in the world of entertainment in her early years. She went to her audition in 1992, and was then offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. In addition to having private lessons, she began her acting career around that time. Bell had an uncredited role in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in both the music and drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended the Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell left her studies in 2001 and began playing Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit in Pootie Tang during 2001. Her scene, however cut, and Bell's only role is the end credits. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
